Here are few hints and tips which may well help you avoid vision threating complications when using contact lenses. Firstly it is important to always keep your contacts clean so before each handling ensure you clean and rinse your hands with a non-cosmetic soap, the others leave a film over your hand which can result in an irritation. Dry your hands with a clean lint free towel.
If you use hair spray it is best to use it before you put your contacts in, it’s also a good idea to keep your nails short to prevent damaging the lens or your eye, this tip may be hard from some to do but it is important to be as careful as you can when you are putting things in to your eyes.
If you wear makeup then ensure you put your contacts in before you apply it to avoid getting any makeup in your eye, makeup looks great but not that close up! Also take your contacts out before you take your makeup for the same reason, don’t forget to wash your hands!
These are just some of the tips that will help avoid irritation when putting in contacts. For any more information feel free to get in touch, we will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
